| Description |
| The Town is seeking a professional to coordinate municipal efforts to utilize energy efficiently and economically and to increase sustainability within the town. The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, proposing sustainability measures to the Town Board and ensuring that sustainability measures approved by the Town Board are implemented; actively seeking, in conjunction with the town’s grant analyst, grant monies to support the town’s sustainability initiative and developing other funding sources for sustainable programs; updating the town’s emissions inventory and monitoring progress made toward the town’s emissions reduction target; assisting other departments in energy, transportation and waste reduction programs; monitoring the town information-gathering process to keep track of energy use in various town buildings and assess progress on energy savings and recommend changes to town record-keeping to help ensure that progress toward energy efficiency goals can be tracked; managing the town’s residential energy efficiency program; implementing public and in-house educational outreach programs to explain the projects undertaken; periodically reporting to the town board on implementation progress for sustainability programs and projects; creating and fostering partnerships within the community, including business organizations, schools, Stony Brook Southampton and other non-profits; and serving as a member of the Sustainable Southampton Green Advisory Committee and acting as liaison to other town departments. |

| Requirements |
| The minimum qualifications for this position are: Graduation from a New York State or regionally accredited college or university with a Bachelors degree, and two (2) years of experience in program evaluation, grants preparation or administration of an energy effectiveness program. |
