Description The City of Glendale is the third largest city in Los Angeles County. Under general direction, this non-safety management position directs, manages, and oversees the day-to-day administration and supervision of the Fire Prevention Bureau, including Fire Prevention, Environmental Management, Vegetation Management, Fire Engineering, and Fire Investigation.

Requirements This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and ten years professional experience in fire prevention, environmental management, vegetation management, fire engineering, building and safety or related program, five of which must be at a supervisory level with a government agency. A Graduate degree and California State Fire Marshal certification is desirable.
